Some Inspirational Quotes By Dalai Lama On Humanity
Welcome to Quotes Dude. There are some conversation between two person on humanity.

Conversation Start

I was in Dharamshala recently, which is the highest seat of the Tibetan Buddhists.

In a shop there, I saw this quotation printed on a t-shirt which I thought I'm really excited to share it with you all.

I thought it was very profound.

It said, someone once asked His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

'What surprises him the most about man, about mankind?' His answer is very profound.

His Holiness The Dalai Lama replied..

'MAN' surprises me the most about humanity.

Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.

And then he sacrifices his money trying to recuperate his health.

And then he's so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present.

The result being that he does not live in the present or the future.

He lives, as if he's never going to die.

And he dies, having never really lived.

Those words give me goosebumps every time I read them.

And that's why I was so excited sharing them with you.

Here's my reflections on this particular quotation.

What I feel is really important is taking out the time for self-reflection.

It's really important to figure out what your priorities are.

Every once in a while get off the treadmill of achievement.

You know, this race that you're trying to run in continuous.

You're trying to get ahead of everyone.

Every now and then.

Get off this treadmill.

Take a deep breath in.

And ask a few questions to yourself.

Where am I Going?

Is it going to be worthwhile when I get there?

What sacrifices am i making in order to get there?

What is my inner voice telling me?

So I'm not really advocating poverty here, or I'm not advocating that you give up taking action.

What I am advocating, and what The Dalai Lama's quotation, my interpretation of it is..

Seek inner balance.

Strive for inner balance!

Get your priorities right.

Take out the time for self-reflection.

And more importantly than anything else, you remember.. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

There is nothing more luxurious on this planet than the feeling of inner peace.
